A film made of archival footage by the Hungarian televison and Black Box on the regime change in Hungary and in Eastern Europe. The films starts with the crushing of the revolution in 1956 and the trial of the Imre Nagy group. Then it presents the democratic opposition in the 1980s demanding a pluralist system and democracy, freedom, human rights and economic wellfare; at the same time the communist party leaders propagatig the single party system, socialism and the international proletarian rule.
Televíziós és a Fekete Doboz archív videó felvételeiből építkező film a magyar és a kelet-európai rendszerváltás történetét mutatja be a képeket értelmező narráció segítségével. Az 1956-os forradalom leverésével és a Nagy Imre csoport perével indul a film. Majd az 1980-as években színre lép a többpártrendszert és demokráciát, szabadságot, emberi jogokat és gazdasági jólétet követelő ellenzék, velük szemben pedig az egypártrendszert és szocializmust és a proletár internacionalizmust hirdető kommunista pártok vezetői.
