Content and Structure

Scope and Content (Abstract)
The series includes the letters and contracts related to the publishing activities of Atlantic Research and Publication Ltd. (ARP) which are arranged and described by the serial number of volumes published in the book series Atlantic Studies on Society in Change.
Scope and Content (Narrative)
This part of the Pastor papers consists of the documents relating to the publishing activity of the Atlantic Research and Publication Ltd. (ARP). The publishing house, whose founder and president was Bela Kiraly, published numerous volumes in the field of East and Central European social, political and military history of the 18th -20th centuries. Most of the authors were highly reputed scholars, in many cases dissident thinkers from the region. ARP therefore played a role not only in revitalizing the academic discourse between the region and the English speaking world, but at the same time supported and promoted dissident political and scientific discourse within the region itself. ARP closely cooperated with Columbia University Press, the main distributor of ARP publications in the United States, and with other institutions (University Press of America, UPA, Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, INALCO, Paris), and several Hungarian institutions and publishing houses.
The collection contains corporate records (contracts, data on circulation), correspondence relating to publishing projects, proposals, correspondence with the authors and editors, applications. The order of documents follows the numbering of books from the series Atlantic Studies on Society in Change (ISSN 1048-4930). The documents related to books published in different series or without series were placed in the third box together with the correspondence related to publishing activities in general but not related to a specific title. The bibliographical records of the books published by ARP are accessible through the permalinks to the Library of Congress records given in the note field of each folder.

Tartalom és Szerkezet

Tárgy és tartalom (Kivonat)
A sorozatban az Atlantic Research and Publication Ltd. (ARP) könyvkiadói tevékenységéhez kapcsolódó dokumentumok találhatóak, melyben a dokumentumok az Atlatic Studies on Society in Change című könyvsorozat sorozati számának megfelelő sorrendben kerültek rendezés alá.
Tárgy és tartalom (Narratív)
A Pásztor-gyűjtemény ezen része az Atlantic Research and Publications (továbbiakban: ARP) kiadói tevékenységéhez köthető dokumentumokat tartalmazza.
A dokumentumok elhelyezése az Atlantic Studies on Society in Change (ISSN 1048-4930) című könyvsorozat sorozatszámozását követi. A sorozat kiadványainak könyvészeti leírása az egyes dossziék megjegyzés mezejében található permalinken keresztül a Library of Congress oldalán található.
