Scope and Content (Abstract): The collection includes television programs on analog video, and related textual documentation to the programs, created between 1989 and 1999.

The television programs were broadcast on the Hungarian Television in Hungary. Besides the ready, broadcast programs some raw, unedited footage are also part of the collection.

The textual material on paper are mostly program scripts, editors' notes and various other documents related to the broadcast material. Press clippings and correspondance concerning the so called 'media war' (during which the right wing political parties in power layed off journalists with left-wing and liberal affiliations at the Hungarian Radio and Television, 1990-1994) are also part of the textual collection.

During the turbulent years of the transition from one-party system to democarcy in Hungary some journalists were staff members at the state-owned Hungarian Television, while also worked for independent media groups, such as the 'Kreatív Műhely' (Creative Community), delivering ready television programs for the state television.
