This subcollection contains the documentation of eleven sociology research projects run by Ilona Liskó’s research group. The subfonds consists of various types of documents: transcripts of qualitative interviews, case studies, background studies. Each series contains the research documentation of a particular research project. This collection was given to the Voices of the 20th Century group by Gábor Havas in 2010.

Content and Structure

Scope and Content (Abstract)

Ilona Liskó conducted research projects mainly in the field of sociology of education, with special attention to mobility, identity and organizational sociology. Between 1971 and 1981 Ilona Liskó worked at the Social Research Institute, afterwards she became a fellow, and from 2004 the director of the newly established Educational Research Institute. In her research projects she paid special attention to the situation of underprivileged students and the interrelations of inequalities and failures in school.
