Organized by the Independent Lawyers’ Forum in the spring 1989, six opposition parties, Alliance of Young Democrats, Independent Small Holders’ Party, Hungarian Democratic Forum, Hungarian People’s Party, Alliance of Free Democrats, Social Democratic Party and two organizations, the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Endre Friendship Society and the Democratic League of Independent Trade Unions unite to start negotiations with the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party to carry through the peaceful regime change. The five-part- film is made from 120 hours of footage shot at the Opposition and National Round Table negotiations.
