Content and Structure

Scope and Content (Narrative)
The series comprises a variety of civilian and military maps produced, used, or acquired during ARC’s operations in the Balkans. Of particular interest are the maps indicating ARC offices and program activities in the Balkans; the three Britfor Situation Maps showing the exact war situation in 1993 and 1995; and the Kosovo Atlas indicating route codes used in military operations as well as NGO and governmental organizations' offices throughout the region (2000). The colorful map titled 'The Fall of Yugoslavia, 1991-1999' has a detailed chronology of events on its backside, tracing the events from Josip Broz Tito's death (1980) to the Kosovo Crisis in 1998-1999.
