The foundation in Tashkent was originally set up as a representative office of the Open Society Institute New York and was subsequently reregistered as a representative office of the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation.

The records are textual and contain full sets of local registration application documents, accreditation certificates, charter and statutes, as well as partnership agreements with key Uzbek governmental agencies.
