- The fonds comprises documents related to Alfred A. Reisch's professional and academic career and his activities between 1957 and 2013.
A small part of the collection contains his personal files, which consists of resumes, diplomas, certificates, correspondences with institutions for which Alfred A. Reisch worked, course materials and some conference papers. It also has some personal photos and postcards. The collection includes some of Alfred A. Reisch’s publications for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) written in the period from 1982 to 1995.
The major part of the collection is related to Alfred A. Reisch’s research on the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)'s secretly funded, book-distribution program in which he had taken part in while working for the Publications and Special Project Division (PSPD) from 1956 to 1974. The fonds comprises his correspondence, copies of archival materials (mainly from the Hoover Institution Archives (HIA)), and various research materials pertaining to his research project.
It also contains references related to the book as well as on various topics such as, diplomatic history, foreign policy, history and development of the European Union (EU), and US Foreign Policy in Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.
